Not trying to guilt anyone, but: if we end up letting *them* charge us 5 bucks for an ATM fee, but won't pay that for an ebook, we're fucked—

The last step for a complete Amazon takeover of the Android ecosystem will be the appearance of the Amazon Tablet. It will be based on Android, of course, and have a good complement of hardware and software features to compete with other Android tablets. It will also have something no other product will have, a tight, easy to use integration with all of Amazon’s services and shopping. It will make it easy to do everything you can do with a tablet while using Amazon’s services, apps bought from Amazon, all while listening to music bought from Amazon that is streaming from Amazon servers. Game, set and match.
See, this is what happens when you neglect User Experience. Someone who can do it better will just steal the entire market you created.
I keep going back and forth over whether or not Amazon will do a tablet. One thing is certain: It must be better than the NookColor for the same price.
And that’s a challenge. The NookColor has the best damn screen out there on a tablet, clearly superior in color saturation to the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Motorola Xoom. And it’s a quality product, with a lush and posh feel to it (the back especially feels warm and inviting and not at all like sterile hardware). It reminds me of the kind of things Sony used to do. That Barnes & Noble — a tech newcomer — has trounced several experienced tech companies still astounds me.
So in terms of a 7″ tablet, it’s Barnes & Noble that Amazon has to beat.
I’m very pleased to report that the eBook editions of UK crime fiction writer Steve Mosby are now available here in America! It’d be near-impossible to find these on paper in this country, so here’s your chance to be introduced to more great crime fiction from a master of the genre!
And I have no complaint about the prices. These are good prices!
Go run and buy and support a writer!

This is the first time I’ve ever encountered this “error” message in Twitter and I don’t like it at all.
Here is the post itself for you to see: Anarchy for the UK. Ish.
Just what the hell is going on here?
Update: I’ve been told on Twitter that Twitter for Mac states the site is blocked due to malware. However:
And @fakebaldur works in security.
Also, Chrome does not alert me that the site is infected or is malicious at all.
