What’s not fun on a Friday night?
Seeing a huge globe of flames and having to call 911 and alert neighbors because a nearby abandoned building was set on fire for the third — and probably not last — time.
And then taking pictures of it …
… and taking a hit from one of the FDNY hoses:
Not fun at all.






I just don’t understand this. What in the world goes through peoples’ minds when they do stuff like this? Do you know who owns the building?
It’s been abandoned for months. I have no idea why. People think whoever owns it is trying to torch it for insurance. That was popular sport in the 1970s South Bronx by racist white owners who couldn’t sell their apartment buildings filled with non-white renters. It’s not all burned to the ground yet, so Fire Four should be happening at some point.
