Time Time Time See What’s Become Of Me

Revolution Vs “Turboparalysis” – The Real New Normal

The lead sentence smacked me in the face:

More than half a decade has passed since the recession that triggered the financial panic and the Great Recession…

One of my prior blogs, Mike Cane 2008, was filled with it.

And it is now 2013.

Five years!

Gone, like — snaps fingers — that!

And outside of maybe Greece, we’re no closer in the First World to having to eat roasted rats to survive.

I suppose I should be grateful that the fraud has metastasized into keeping things generally running. Because an absolute crash would create misery on a scale unprecedented in human history.

And I don’t mean not being able to buy things like food or not being able to pay rent.

What happens to when people can’t be treated for infections?

Epidemics.

I fear widespread disease probably more than widespread hunger.

So should you.

  1. I can always count on you to help me with my depressed state (whether out or in remains to be seen.) Thanks for the Bangles.

  2. Evolution will be throwing a party at that one. And maybe it’s worth viewing the idea of mass pandemics in terms of nature itself – plus the rich and powerful would be helpless against nature itself, no matter what they did. Two hundred years ahead the mass pandemic would be dubbed “the great equaliser.”

  3. Didn’t you post an article where a researcher postulated that the closer to the end of life you get the faster time seems to go? I may be wrong but I will research it tomorrow. I read it somewhere on this damn internet. Perceptions are more important than facts sometimes. Also where are our weekly reports on gas, World Trade center? You’re slowing down, old man. Another thing, I am still waiting for the bastards that robbed this country blind, to be sitting in jail. Good luck to me on the last one. How about the balls of AIG? We disagreed on the bailouts but I still feel I was the one who was correct. No bailouts for anyone.

My weekend routine has changed due to the herd of cats and I’m no longer heading into the city then. At some point I must go on a fondle mission and can do gas and Freedom Tower updates then.
