This is not a report. It’s a head’s up. I got to see the opening minutes of a new British TV series called Utopia before my crap PC refused to play it properly.
A guy published a comic called Utopia, that he wrote and drew himself. Then he killed himself. There is something revelatory about the comic. So much so that someone is willing to kill to have it.
This guy …
… claims to have the second, unpublished, issue and is recruiting two others on the Utopia forum to see it.
That’s as far as I got. Damn PC.
As you can see, this was shot frikkin ultra-widescreen. It also borrows the visual innovation from Sherlock of having text pop over the screen — this time it’s in motion, though.
I don’t know if this will ever come to America (Hulu?), so find it on the tubes. It looks worthwhile.
I will report when I’m finally able to see it. Damn PC.
Additional:

It takes you to find these damn things! We get the Radio Times (best TV and radio listings magazine with BBC emphasis) and I managed not to notice it…I’ll check it out, maybe grab the first on on iTunes.
Sounds interesting. I don’t get Channel 4 here, but will keep an eye out. Thanks.
