Photos: iPad Mini Vs Galaxy Tab 7.7 & TouchPad Go

HaXXor extraordinaire Steven Troughton-Smith — who also owns all the toys — acceded to my babyish begging request for photos comparing the iPad Mini to both the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the never-released TouchPad Go (see, he does own all the toys!).

His Galaxy Tab 7.7 is modded, software-wise, but we’re just looking at sizes here.

Now the iPad Mini vs. the TouchPad Go (click to enlarge):

The TouchPad Go is a 4:3 seven-inch screen. Wow, what a huge difference the point-nine inches of the iPad Mini screen makes.

At one time I really thought the TouchPad Go would be what a smaller — inevitable — iPad would be (apparently so did HP!). I am glad I was so wrong.

It’s clear to me from these photos that, after creating the tablet category, Apple re-invented the smaller tablet category too. The TouchPad Go just looks like ass next to the iPad Mini.

Update: And Steven Troughton-Smith added thickness photos!

Wow, the TouchPad Go even looks massively heavier.

I’m more then willing to take that Touchpad go off your hands since you seem not to happy with it. Email me for the Shipping address.

Before stepping on the pedal of your greed, did you even bother to read the post?

      • Mattmers

Yes, I read the whole thing and you only compares size which is understandable. I merely made the joke because the Touchpad Go is extremely rare, like really really rare. He could sell it for $2000, I highly doubt he would give it away. And plus, I don’t think he uses it everyday. But I do thank you for the pictures, I enjoy seeing the Touchpad Go out there.

Sorry that I misunderstood your joke. As for the TP Go, the Archos eight-inch tablets have similar styling, so they’d likely look chunky next to an iPad Mini too.

No problem. Thx, I’ll have to check the Archos out. But I’m more of a webOS person :)
