When I read posts such as this — Is Amazon Too Big for Kindle? — whining about formatting problems, it tends to get up my nose.

There are books out there to Help You Do This.

  1. Good to know for when I reach that point! Thanks for the information.

  2. For the record, Mike (you once asked how I formatted my TAOS SOUL ebook for Kindle), I first read Tallent’s book—very helpful—and then created a plain text HTML file for the book. Following Tallent’s pointers, I did very careful search & replace operations to fix various things, then created a simple CSS stylesheet for the final touches. (BTW, I just revised this puppy, and the paragraph indents are normal now, thanks to a simple CSS style change.)

Everything was kept verrrry simple, nothing fancy. The Amazon DTP platform converted my files to Kindle format in about 30 seconds, and everything worked perfectly.

NO MS Word involvement at all. Just plain text, HTML, and CSS.
