I grew up with The Beatles. But I don’t care. As far as I can recall, I owned only one of their songs. (If you guessed Revolution, you were correct!)
The Beatles catalog represents a moral victory for Steve Jobs. It was always his dream, and so he achieved it. I’m happy for him as he surely deserves it. It doesn’t mean anything to Apple or shareholders or even Beatles fans. I’m surprised EMI even bothered about keeping the Beatles away from iTMS as long as they did. Not to knock Beatles music, but I figured for today’s music consumer, the Beatles would be as interesting as week old, warmed-over soup.
