HP Confirms Discussions with Autonomy Corporation plc Regarding Possible Business Combination; Makes Other Announcements

In addition, HP reported that it plans to announce that it will discontinue operations for webOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and webOS phones. HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software going forward.

For all intents and purposes, it’s all over.

HP will see if anyone will purchase webOS and the Palm patents.

  1. They seem to be trying to kill more than that. I understand HP moving away from tablets and webOS and favoring cloud and enterprise solutions, but I don’t understand HP selling the PC Business. Let’s see what the next few weeks brings.
