I Want To Be Wrong

The timing is freaking me out.

Two night ago I envisioned a quake hitting here. At night. Wiping out just about everything.

  1. You had an intuition about a quake? Easy to believe. Most people aren’t aware of the East Coast fault lines, but Edgar Cayce knew. Obviously any hard shaking in your area would be disastrous in the extreme. Keep us in the loop.

I don’t like it. I’m freaked out. Too big a coincidence. I’ve had other shit like this happen before in my life. I hope this is not one of those times.

  2. Didn’t see this earlier when I was on Twitter. You should’ve told me you’d posted so I would’ve understood what you were talking about! I hope you are wrong too.

Calm down, Mike. Only 20 “big” earthquakes have struck the Virginia Seismic Zone since records began in 1774, and none resulted in fatalities. And none had a higher magnitude than 5.8 (which was the magnitude of this quake and one in 1897).
