The Wall Street Occuposers

They have jumped the shark. They no longer have anything to say.

Occupy Denver stands in solidarity with AIM to “Decolonize Denver”

WHEREAS, those participating in “Occupy Denver” acknowledge that the United States of America is a colonial country, and that we are guests upon stolen indigenous land that has already been occupied for centuries, Denver being the ancestral land of the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Ute people; and

Boldfaced emphasis added by me.

These are morons run amuck.

There is not one nation on earth that has not been established through war and conquest.

Do you notice these all-so-sensitive idiots never, ever, ever mention how South America is a product of the colonization and conquest by Spain and Portugal? How languages and indigenous people there were crushed, how just about everyone speaks Spanish or Portuguese — a language not native to them?

No, of course not.

Because these people are just idiots!

They don’t read — and they certainly have never read any history!

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

You’re damned right there!

So what did you learn in college? Anything at all?

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

I intend to right now!

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

Who is the “we”? OK, let’s say that was put there by someone aboriginal (though I’d be hard-pressed to find one in all the middle-class white faces there), what do they expect us to do — pack up and leave?

Just how far removed from reality are you?

And for all of you autistically rocking back and forth in misplaced guilt over being on “stolen indigenous land,” who is keeping you here? Don’t give me any shit about not being able to leave. Hitchhike to Mexico! See how welcoming they’ll be to your gringo ass down there!

Or go back to the alleged genealogical homeland you’re traced from — and go learn their language. Who’s stopping you?

Don’t get in our faces because you think you’re so damned sensitive to the suffering of others! Show me where you’ve put in time volunteering in the native states! You can’t. So shut up!

You’re not virtuous, you’re not better than the rest of us. You think you’ve uncovered a unique injustice in the world — but all you’ve done is revealed the depths of your ignorance of all of human history.

A scribbling by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

What the hell does that have to do with the Wall Street casino, crooked banks, the repeal of Glass-Steagall, the bastardization of the FTC and FCC and FDA, interlocking corporate directorates, digital trusts, monopolies, restraint of trade, bribery of officials, corruption of the electoral process, people losing their homes, losing their jobs, losing their unemployment safety net, and living on the streets here?

Are you out of your empty-headed pot-smoking mind?

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

And what the hell does that have to with absolutely anything?

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

Have you ever in your little life encountered the term “tautology“? You’re not being clever. You’re being stupid!

A placard by one of the Wall Street Occuposers:

And don’t go quoting Whitman to justify your lack of focus. Chew on this Whitman quote:

Have you learned the lessons only of those who admired you, and were tender with you, and stood aside for you? Have you not learned great lessons from those who braced themselves against you, and disputed passage with you?

And I don’t think Whitman meant that someone opposing you should only reinforce your delusional state.

Although he also said:

Re-examine all that you have been told… dismiss that which insults your soul.

So yeah, Whitman is the perfect guy to cite for spoiled brats:

I celebrate myself, and sing myself.

But lest I besmirch him totally, he also said:

The United States themselves are essentially the greatest poem.

And he said that about a nation created out of “stolen indigenous land” — without ever mentioning that fact! So what the hell do you really know about Whitman? Or even about America itself?

You lot have become a joke!

A sign in a nearby window:

This is what you have all done to yourselves.

No one from outside your “movement” came in and wrote those placards! Where the hell is the focus?

Adults with functioning brains and some experience in life have been saying you’re nothing but a mess.

Occupy Wall Street Needs To Occupy A Library

The Occupy Wall Street people have no frame of reference; they’re like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know… look, they’re just out of their element….

And:

I’ll tell you who doesn’t know that: the Occupy Wall Street protesters. They think they can just show up one day, pissed off, and get something done. That’s the heart of this movement. Much has been made of their catchall list of demands, but really you can simplify all of it to “we want things to NOT suck.”

Why Occupy Wall Street Confuses People

Just don’t tell us something is wrong. We all know something is wrong. I have three damn years of screaming that’s something’s wrong and several hundred blog posts pointing to all that.

What’s next? What’s the end? What’s the solution or solutions?

If you’re going to publish a list detailing wrongs, what’s next?

And some of you are also the kind of people the real 99% of America detest — brutal ideologues who see all of life through one narrow view where everything is a political act:

Finally, today, Matt Taibbi — who has been exemplary in covering this financial mess — said goals were needed.

https://twitter.com/#!/mikecane/status/124157205716017152

But you know what? I don’t think even goals are going to help you lot.

You’ve shown who you really are:

— and that’s not the Left of someone such as Hubert Humphrey, no. You’re this Left:

The same bunch of self-centered, self-deluded, easily-disrupted pack of idiots who crawled into communes in the 1960s and didn’t change one damn thing. Until they re-emerged in the 1970s and ripped apart the fabric of this nation with an orgy of selfishness that’s the very root of today’s problems.

So me take you lot seriously?

No. Go away. Better: Leave this “stolen indigenous land” and we adults will create a real way out of this mess without any of you getting in our way.

Take your Be-In, “posetest” or whatever the hell it is, and go away.

Revolution is not for children.

  1. No need to hold back, Mike, say what you really think :-)

As a matter of fact we are infested with similar twerps in the UK. They’re speeding at 100 mph towards a big brick wall called Reality, and have no idea how close they are to hitting it.

These aren’t the angry of Paddy Chayefsky’s Network. They have no idea what the hell to be angry about. It’s a pathetic retro display of the kind their grandparents put on in the 1960s. Just as unfocused, just as irritating, just as ineffective.
