I dunno- I’m reading it right now and kind of enjoying it. Isaacson is a business reporter from the WSJ not a tech kind of guy. Jobs was a businessman if you ask me, not an engineer. This is just a lightweight chronicle of Job’s life which does read like a long magazine article- kind of like a cheese-and-crackers lazy afternoon’s read. Personally I am not of the mind that he was a genius- more a pop star if you ask me. By the way are you an Ayn Rand fan?
Not an Ayn Rand fan at all, but was when I was younger — and dumber.
Oh, and by the way monopolies don’t fail- they run every country in the world and have since 2000 bc. Just look aat Japan or China with dynasties lasting (in the case of Japan thru 2500 years)
They had armies. Corporate monopolies generally don’t have that kind of power. Coke can’t come breaking into your home and kill you for drinking Pepsi. At least not yet.
