Interster: Fandub Voice Acting Call

Interster: Fandub Voice Acting Call

I’m working on a fandub for a South African TV Series – a substitute for the famous “Thunderbirds” Supermarionation series, thanks to the apratheid regulations posed on the country. This series was never seen anywhere outside of South Africa and only exists in Afrikaans.

Hm, I don’t know how that would work out. Wouldn’t voices override the soundtrack that includes music and sound effects?

I’d just prefer good subtitles, personally.

Previously here and elsewhere:

Interster Episode Two: Saboteur
Interster Episode One: Proxima Clash

OMFG!!! INTERSTER!!!
Interster Still M.I.A.

  1. I know what you’re saying there – personally I always thought the music (aside from the intro music) and the sound effects were rather awful sounding. For sound effects – I wouldn’t expect a country under apartheid block to have access to the best sound effects around. I myself am editing a new sound effects track, as a matter of fact I’m done with the ones for the first three episodes using the Cinesound Effects Library (the library used in most productions from the 40’s-90’s and in almost all of Gerry Anderson’s productions) provided by jamesuk9999 along with some of the original sounds left unprotruded by music or voices.
Music – I’m still unsure. I’d go with Barry Gray, but he’s so overdone even if his music is fantastic stuff.
I frankly wanted to see how it would all turn out. I can read obviously, I just have a harder time following the story when it’s not in my language.
