Stop SOPA And PIPA

Not that this blog matters a damn, but stopping SOPA and PIPA matters.

I am joining the protest against these two fascist bills designed to subvert all of our rights and to destroy the Internet as we have known it.

There will be no posts on this blog tomorrow.

This blog will auto-blackout from 8AM to 8PM EST, using a method provided by the WordPress.com service. Earlier tonight I was using a method cobbled together by other users. Some of you might have already encountered it.

In addition, I am also staying totally offline tomorrow. No Internet at all.

SOPA and PIPA are two examples of recent legislation that is lethal to the internet as we know it. The internet rose up and is on its way to successfully fighting them off, but we need to stay vigilant.

The only way to prevent legislation like this from being passed in the future is to call your Congressmen and tell them. Make it clear that you don’t support SOPA, you don’t support PIPA, and that you won’t support future legislation that damages the stability of the internet.
