Gas Marches Towards Five Dollars A Gallon

This was the price of gas here last weekend:

That photo was taken on March 24th. I didn’t need to update it because the price didn’t change.

Until this week.

Now the price is:

Just forty-one cents until it hits five bucks a gallon.

And at the rate it’s been going, that could happen.

    think yourselves very lucky, in the UK we’re being charged over twice that figure already.

    Overheard at a table at Tavern on the Green yesterday, Paul Krugman was heard to say:

    “Thank God gas prices are going up! It must mean the economy’s doing so well that oil demand must be skyrocketing! There is no other conceivable explanation! Now please pass the Chateau Lafite Rothschild?
