This was outed by NYC retailer J&R back on August 15th.
Briefly, it has an eight-inch 1024 x 768 IPS screen, a 1.6GHz Rockchip 3188 CPU with a Mail-400 GPU, a staggeringly-low 8GBs of internal memory, just 1GB of RAM, and 0.3MP and 2MP front and back cameras. Full specs are here.
With the 2013 Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire 7″ HDX each at just US$229, this is a very difficult tablet to recommend to anyone at US$199.
What could save it? If OMA’s ROMs work on it. Especially if it’s true that MultiWindow Android can run in just 1GB of RAM. Both are doubtful prospects.
