It began happening live, in real-time, after I few tweets I made about an episode of Run for Your Life.
Yeah. Go figure.
Every fifteen seconds or so, a bunch of new fake Followers poured in.
Someone, thank god, suggested I Protect my account. That stopped the influx — for now.
I began the day with 3,335 Followers.
2,205 2,199 [Twitter was slow to update] fake Followers were added during the bombing. Whoever was doing this was watching my account because the attack has stopped after Protecting my tweets, with fake Follower requests now frozen at 596.
Twitter needs to find a way of dealing with this problem.
