Aigo iPad Mini Clone Looks More Like Sony Than Apple

Aigo’s new X81 Atom-based iPad Mini clone [Google Translate] moves away from looking like it was designed by Apple.

I don’t think anyone would ever mistake that for an iPad Mini.

It’s interesting that both Ramos and Aigo are moving away from the iPad Mini design — the “trade dress” issue. I wonder if they’re beginning to position themselves for sales outside of China as OEMs under other brand names? These new designs come as they also adopt the Intel Atom CPU. Could Intel have had an influence too?
