WTF PopOver Ad Here


Did anyone else get that popover ad at this blog?

I don’t know where it came from or if it was an artifact left over from another tab I had open.

If you’ve seen that — or any other popover ad — leave a Comment telling me who the damn advertiser was and what browser you were using.

Movie: Smilla’s Sense Of Snow

I had a chance to see this movie today, finally striking it off my Infinite Backlog.

I knew nothing about it beforehand other than it was about a woman with a keen insight into snow.

It turns out that woman is a mixture of a white father and an Inuit mother. That combination apparently leads to this:


Which doesn’t look one bit Inuit to me — but a character in the movie glances at her and asks her if she is. Yeah, I should have known that with something that dumb in the front, the back of it would be Major Dumb.

CUBE is claiming its new iPad clone, the Talk 9X, scores in the 41,000-range with AnTuTu [Google Translate].


The CUBE Talk 9X is an iPad clone with Retina-class 9.7-inch IGZO screen, 2GBs of RAM, 16GBs of storage, and an octa-core MediaTek 8392 CPU with a peak frequency of 2GHz.
