CUBE Claims 41,000-Range AnTuTu

CUBE is claiming its new iPad clone, the Talk 9X, scores in the 41,000-range with AnTuTu [Google Translate].

The CUBE Talk 9X is an iPad clone with Retina-class 9.7-inch IGZO screen, 2GBs of RAM, 16GBs of storage, and an octa-core MediaTek 8392 CPU with a peak frequency of 2GHz.

To say I’m skeptical of that score as indicative of what users will experience all the time is to understate the issue. It’s possible for the octa-core MediaTek 8392 to hit the 41,000-range when pushed to its 2GHz peak, but in everyday use people are going to get up to 1.7GHz — and that’s already been established to generally score in the 28,000-range.

  1. I feel like 28000 would be acceptable performance for daily usage taking into account it’s other specs and retina screen. That’s double what my Nexus 4 pulls off and I am satisfied with it’s functionality. I’ve ordered a 9X from Shenzhen Electronics Mall on AliExpress via DHL and should have it in a couple weeks. If the case build is high quality, I have a feeling I’ll be very pleased with this tablet. Can’t wait!
