NBC hyped the hell out of this.

Over-the-top hype is never a good sign in TV.

There’s nothing to this. Nothing that interested me. Black Sails at least has as a subtext the ending of a way of life — piracy. This has … a silly battle over a gadget.

I won’t be watching more.
