See the 5Fans thread that announces their beta test round [Google Translate].
As the render shows, no Volume buttons (problematic for rooting), the iFive Skin is back in all its glory (horror?), and the back is again WiFi-sabotaging all-metal. The only new thing is the 8MP back camera.
Five said they’d be the first out with a Rockchip 3288-based tablet. They’re third, behind Teclast (first; P90HD) and Pipo (second; P1). Whatever excitement there was for this tablet has been tempered by the ongoing and unresolved problems of their 3GS and reviews of other 3288-based tablets.
It’s not yet listed at their site so full specs aren’t yet available. The size of the battery will be interesting. How far down will Five crank screen brightness to squeeze out more battery life?
