Pipo Pimps P8 Tablet Again

In a Weibo communique that doesn’t need publishing because it goes to their forum [Google Translate].

They highlight it has GPS:

PiPO P8 built-in GPS global positioning module, positioning accuracy greatly improved compared to the network location. Away from home, you only need to install a navigation software on the P8, you can easily get road guidance, no longer afraid of getting lost; shake micro letter, brush microblogging, on unfamiliar street, you can also get entertainment guidelines, locate friends, positioning interactive, fun infinity.

But I find their battery claim questionable:

Of course, PiPO P8 also equipped with a 5300mah high capacity battery, battery life lasting for the entertainment experience “escort” online using six hours is not a problem. No frequent charging troubles, more comfortable for everyday use.

The key words there are, in non-convoluted English, “using online for six hours.”

No one should expect six hours of big game play.

Still no release date published.

  1. The Pipo P8 is a much better option than the iFive Mini4 (the iFive skin has menu options in Chinese that can’t be changed) and the Pipo P8 offers a better design which also has plastic casing for extended WiFi signal, plus with a 2048×1536 retina quality display, this is probably the best compact tablet on the market right now —

August 15th is the availability date for the Pipo P8, according to the U.S. reseller – [name redacted] which has more info on this and several other new tablets coming out in August.
