Pipo announced its availability today on Weibo and points to their forum [Google Translate].
This is a “1/16” Windows 8.1 tablet with an eight-inch screen at 1280 x 800, priced at 499 yuan — or about US$81. Despite an earlier report that stated it has an Intel Z3735F, it’s an Intel Z3735G (see the Intel cheatsheet).

I was lightly browsing the Teclast forum — something time doesn’t permit me to do daily or even regularly — and I came across a post about using the Xposed framework on a rooted Teclast X98 3G (use Chrome or drop link into Bing Translator).
Xposed allows many modifications to a rooted Android device.
One of the most intriguing is enabling multiwindowing. I wondered if this would work on any Chinese tablets — and it turns out it can.
As for the X98 3G, the post itself is ambiguous and links to another post that demonstrates its use on a different Teclast tablet (one with a 1920 x 1200 screen). Machine translation implies it might not work on a certain firmware version.
