New Tablet From CUBE: i6

I monitor CUBE on Weibo and this is a surprising announcement that I’ve seen only at 1Pad [Google Translate].

CUBEi6001

This is another Retina-class 9.7-inch tablet but it uses the Intel Z3735F with a peak frequency of 1.8GHz. It has 2GBs of RAM, 32GBs of internal storage, 2MP front and 5MP back cameras, microUSB OTG port, microSD card slot, Android 4.4.2, no word on battery size — and 3G is China Unicom. And the screen is IGZO. GPS available but probably requires a 3G connection.

CUBEi6002

Since at 8.8mm this is thicker than the Talk9x — which is 7mm — perhaps it has a massive 10,000mAh battery too. But maybe that would be overkill for the Intel CPU.

It’ll be interesting to see if CUBE does a Windows version of this tablet.

See the Tmall pre-sale listing [Google Translate].

another interesting product from cube, even if it is on of thousands intel based tablet…
no news about Cube tablets and Androud lollipop upgrades?

    • The only CUBE tablets I’d be interested in are 4:3, such as this. There’s some new 4G ones rumored to come. Will have that later today. No word on Android 5.0 for any Chinese tablets yet.

me too, it’s the best format to read and web browsing.
As the cube talk 9x, this i6 should be 4:3 too.

I so much wanted a black coloured Teclast X98 Air 3G and this has virtually the same hardware… now it only needs Windows

Do you see this i6 as Talk x9 replacement? I’m quite ready to order Talk x9 but if something new comes up in a week or two. It would be dissapointing…

How does this compare to the Cube T9?
