Although this little device hasn’t got access to all the cool Android Wear features the Mi Band has earned itself a permanent place on my wrist where as the LG G Watch with all its features is currently collecting dust!

iambillbil Looks At iFive MX2

Over at IMP3Net, tablet aficionado iambillbil gives an Appearance Evaluation of the iFive MX2 Windows 8.1 tablet with 8.9-inch screen [Google Translate].

This is not a tablet that interests me, so I haven’t read it. I will link to his next posts for others as they appear. Most of the user report action will happen at the 5Fans forum [Google Translate].

R.I.P. Car Talk Host Tom Magliozzi

‘Car Talk’ Co-Host Tom Magliozzi Dies At 77

Tom Magliozzi, one half of the wisecracking Car Talk duo known as “Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers,” has died after complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 77.

I didn’t have any interest in cars. But their expertise, humor, and fearlessness made the show always interesting and something not to miss.

Announced: Pipo W5 Stylus-Enabled Eight-Inch Windows 8.1 Tablet

Details can be seen at the Pipo forum [Google Translate].

1280 x 800 eight-inch screen, Intel Z3735F CPU, 2GBs RAM, 32GBs eMMC storage, 2MP front and 5MP back cameras, 4,500mAh battery. No word on HDMI-out, but there’s a microSD card slot.

This is a lot like the Vido W8S. I shouldn’t be surprised. When one company announces “X” kind of tablet, there will be others following. That’s how the industry in China rolls.
