Announced: Pipo W5 Stylus-Enabled Eight-Inch Windows 8.1 Tablet

PipoW5001

Details can be seen at the Pipo forum [Google Translate].

1280 x 800 eight-inch screen, Intel Z3735F CPU, 2GBs RAM, 32GBs eMMC storage, 2MP front and 5MP back cameras, 4,500mAh battery. No word on HDMI-out, but there’s a microSD card slot.

This is a lot like the Vido W8S. I shouldn’t be surprised. When one company announces “X” kind of tablet, there will be others following. That’s how the industry in China rolls.

Styluses’ are a nightmare to get calibrate and use effectively even from reputable companies(cough Lenovo cough).
Getting them from Chinese makers is ………..stress I do not want.
