Teclast Announces X90HD 8.9-Inch Windows 8.1 Tablet

Teclast leapfrogs all of the other 8.9-inch Windows tablets by offering a higher-resolution screen, 2560 x 1600.

Over at cngadget, they’ve done a chart: Comparison Among 8.9-inch Windows Tablets. It doesn’t include the Teclast X90HD, but it’s still easy to see how the new Teclast beats all of them.

I did wonder if Teclast would bring out an 8.9 incher. Its typical of them to try and outdo everyone else with the screen resolution. It will be interesting to see what kind of chip and battery they put inside too handle a screen with that resolution.

at imp3.net it says 6500mAh. which is quite small for an hd screen. I expected it to be 7000mAh at least.

    Can this tablet dual boot?

    • No word on it from Teclast yet. If ever.

I have the X90HD and love it, but wish it came with dual boot.

Does anyone know if that is something Teclast can update or will it mean buying a new device when they release the dual-boot version?

Apart from not having dual boot its literally one of the best tablets I have ever owned or tried 9and there have been many), even when compared to the heavyweights like Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Asus etc.

I also bought the Teclast X10HD which does come with dual-boot but it has a number of issues (Battery level mis-reported, Google play store doesn’t work etc.) and for some reason even though its the same resolution as X90HD it looks worse because of a larger air gap between the screen and the glass.

Anyway, can’t wait for X90HD dual boot!
