Teclast X98 Air II Gets A Review

Over at IMP3Net [Google Translate].

This is basically just an upgrade to the CPU, an Intel Z3736F with a peak frequency of 2.16GHz. And as there is no 3G, there’s also no GPS.

AnTuTu 5.2.0:

The 5MP back camera looks fair, with the greens muddy:

Click = ginormous

Non-stop use reveals a battery life of just four-and-a-half hours, but that should increase if playing just video or reading.

Interestingly, they praise Intel over ARM:

Earlier I had found, intel programs in the high score screen performance overall is more reassuring, unlike some of the ARM platform as easy Caton [stuttering, pausing] problems.

There’s no word about the Google Play Store working — or not, even though the icon is clearly there for it.

Remember, Teclast puts its iOS-like tUI skin over Android. This is Android 4.4.2 and there’s no word yet on when Android 5.0, which should — ideally — take full advantage of the 64-bit Intel CPU, will be available.
