Xiaomi MiBand App For iOS Released

Weibo:

XiaomiMiBandiOSSoftwareWeibo006

Current MiBand owners need to update the firmware or it won’t connect to the iPhone. iPhone owners lacking Android in their lives need to borrow someone’s phone to do that. Ouch.

Reader Alert: Hit “Older Posts”

This blog’s template sticks ten posts at a time on the front.

Today is yet another one of those days when I’ve done more than ten posts in a day.

So to see everything, when getting to the bottom of the scroll hit the “Older posts” link.

The first post published today was: Nobis 7.85 Tablet Drops To US$60: Don’t Buy It

Ah, Oprah Again!

An open letter to Oprah, whose ‘The Life You Want’ tour asked me to work for free [link fixed]

I want a life in which people are not asked to work for free—by people who can totally afford to pay.

I am not surprised.

Oprah really doesn’t like “sharing her abundance” in any way, shape, or form. Unless she can get paid for it!

Cue Harlan Ellison:

Thanks, @moriahjovan

Teclast Pimps Latest Dual-Boot Test Tablet

Weibo:

TeclastDualSystemForumWeibo

Those who have registered at the Teclast forum can see the contents of the locked post (use Chrome or drop link into Bing Translator).

We unregistered peasants only get to see that photo.

Note that this is an entirely different dual-boot scheme than the X98 Air 3G uses. There are only ten such test units in the hands of the public.

Teclast: November 25 Unveiling

Weibo:

Teclast1125Weibo01

I have no idea. But this is what I mean by the Nokia N1 being dead in the water by the time February 2015 comes around. Teclast, Onda, Chuwi, et al, will have announced a bunch of new ones by then. Some might even have the same CPU in the same iPad Mini dress.

Nokia N1 Has Open Bootloader

That makes it more interesting. But still: February 2015? That’s nuts. If something can’t be gotten within two weeks, don’t announce the damn thing! It only frustrates potential customers. Does any tech company expect people to skip buying a tablet during the holiday shopping season? That won’t happen.

#OnlyOnTwitter: 1

Previously: Only On Twitter

I’ve been coming across these weird pairings in my stream more and more. So I’ve begun tweeting them under that hashtag. And I figure I should do at least one post to show the idea originated with me.
