I was dipping into some of the many, many, many posts about the two Teclast X98 tablets over at XDA (there are waaaay too many for me to catch up on, especially since they did away with the Print View express version of reading them), when I came across this one from November 19, 2014, #410:
This is amazing, I recommended the Teclast X98 Air 3G with Android 4.4.2 hardware to a friend, a 2nd friend also ordered it and wow, what a piece of crap software is this that came with the tablet? Chrome browser crashes, the stock browser showing errors here and there.
The hardware is okay, nicely crafted, but seriously, it also came with a non working Google Playstore? This is a joke. Don’t get me wrong, appreciate all your efforts fixing all this, yet I am very disappointed by the company putting this banana ware on the market that costs every buyer so much effort fixing it.
This product is not ready to market and if you are still consider buying it, do not and look for better alternatives, shiny and great hardware is not everything. Teclast does a great job with the hardware, but software? Not convincing, not convincing at all.
I wonder if Teclast is even aware of the Google Play issue inside of China?
