Onda’s Dual-Boot Announcement

What follows are all the Weibos Onda sent out live to announce their new dual-boot machines. If an image needs enlargement, it will follow the embedded version.

Annoying, Onda padded most Weibos with exhortations for people to pass them along to win a cheap prize!

Both embeds are reiterations. The video has been seen here previously:

I don’t see what’s different between that and Teclast! People still have to reboot between the two OSes. The only difference is that people don’t have to totally turn off the tablet. That’s an innovation?

And there’s absolutely no co-existence of the two OSes as misleadingly depicted here:

If anyone is impressed by this, I’d be interested in learning why. I don’t see any advantage over the Teclast machines.

Believe it or not, that fluff was the entire announcement. They wasted half of the words with a prize giveaway.

PadHz, the only tech site with same-day coverage, seems to be impressed [Google Translate] but, like me, they note the demo video has edits and speed-ups.

I MIGHT be wrong on the translation but it seems like Onda is claiming that the storage is not partitioned between Win8 and Android unlike Teclast’s dual boot solution.
