We’re also pretty excited to confirm that Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 will also receive Lollipop… stay tuned, as we’ll be sharing more on timings soon.
Wow. That is really a fundamental shift in thinking at Sony and I give them a great deal of credit for it. They’d usually abandon T2 Ultra users. It’s basically a clearance item at Best Buy for half its original price. Instead, they’ve given people a reason to want it now.
In a comparison between the specs of the ZTE Zmax and the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, sensible people would believe the Zmax wins. It has 2GBs of RAM versus just 1GB in the T2 Ultra.
However, the T2 Ultra can be rooted, there are custom ROMs, and apps can be moved to the microSD card — these things are not available or possible with the ZTE Zmax.
So although the Zmax offers 2GBs for just US$99, it seems the Sony T2 Ultra is worth the asking price of US$249.
