A video from the Czech Republic gives us a tour and first look at the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A with 9.7-inch 1024 x 768 PLS TFT screen and S-Pen stylus.
720p screensnaps and the video after the break.
No comment by me until after the snaps.
1) It was very frustrating to watch this and have him not pull up the AnTuTu score. Yes, we’ve already seen it (22,000-range) but it’s always good to see it again.
2) While the Microsoft folder was open, there was a weird sort of flicker. Anyone else see that?
It’s hard to get around the fact this is basically an iPad version “2.5” with a stylus.
I’m probably one of just a handful of people in the world to even consider one of these A-series tablets (the iPad Mini-sized one) — and that’s only because of my special #FuckCancer circumstances (see here too). Otherwise, I’d go with a smartphone and wait for the better Samsung tablets coming.
And now the video:
Same-day update: A camera sample.
That’s not very good with chaotic objects (leaves blowing in the wind). Samsung really needs to step up its camera game. When Xiaomi — and other Chinese companies — can put a better camera in a phone for the same price, Samsung should really feel some shame.
