Google Books PDF Test: Samsung Chromebook

Whoa.

Once the file was fully loaded — it took a while (was it the Best Buy WiFi?) — I was very impressed by how the PDF was handled.

Scrolling through pages wasn’t continuous — and it was a vertical scroll, not horizontal paging — there was a second or two delay before it “hopped” to the next page. But the next page was fully rendered. No delay at all.

And I could do CTL-+ to enlarge it and it was a hell of a lot more readable than any tablet I’ve tried!

I am really liking this. Maybe I need one of these after all …

Also, I must add that this was a smoother PDF experience than I get on my damn thousand-pound Windows 7 notebook! Hmmmmmm. I must do research.

The only problem I have had with PDFs on my chromebook is it does not display bookmarks.
