The first bad news:
Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 will be available in selected countries across emerging markets from mid August.
Boldfaced emphasis added by me.
That doesn’t sound like the U.S..
The second bad news is that in China a Weibo — not from Sony — said the price will be what translates to around US$485. That is waaaaay too high a price.
I would so jump on that Mint one if the price was right.

Mike, check out the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. Superb 6 inch screen, smaller dimensions and marginally lighter than the Sony. Unlocked LTE and works great on both T-Mobile and AT&T. I picked mine up for 350 bucks but have seen them for as low as 330 on Swappa. Tremendous camera, fingerprint sensor and build quality. If rumour is correct Huawei will build the next Google phone.
I’ve seen this and liked it:

Also saw the P8 Lite and, although too small, it looked like a high-quality product.
The 7 sells for $439:

… which I think is more than I’m willing to pay for a phone, the C5 Ultra included.
Have to say I was tempted by the Mate 2 as well, but the Mate 7 was smaller and I felt the better specs were worth the extra money. I’m impressed with Huawei. I’d certainly consider them again when I next change phone.
Huawei’s devices look top-quality.
