Insignia Flex Elite 7.85: No Root Built-In

I tried the Root Checker app and it reported no surprise:

I’ll have at least one more post about this tablet, tomorrow. I did some new — non-Google Books — PDF tests on both it and the current iPad Mini. Some interesting results.

This tablet has a Rockchip-created software problem in it that others in China have posted about. I didn’t expect this problem in Android 5.x. I expected it to have been fixed in an Android 4.x update. It wasn’t. Stupid me! It’s not a big problem, but it’s indicative of the damn sloppy work too often found in China products.
