Galaxy Tab S2 pre-orders in the US to begin today, 8-inch model starts at $399.99
As for pricing, the 8-inch model will start at $399.99 for the Wi-Fi model and the 9.7-inch model will be $499.99. Pricing for the LTE versions aren’t available, but they should cost $100 more than the Wi-Fi variants whenever they become available.
Samsung went for iPad-like pricing.
This is disappointing but no surprise.
Same-day update: Now listed at Best Buy. Yet just yesterday the staff at the Samsung Area had zero damn clue about when they’d get the S2 in!
Second same-day update: And it looks like Best Buy is getting an “exclusive” version of the S2 9.7:

You yanks are spoiled. Here the entry 8” model goes for €420 ($450 if memory serves) and the entry 9.7 takes €100 extra. Add another €100 if you want the SIM slot, and some €60 for a cover. Absolute madness.
Europeans are supposed to be richer. Anyway, doesn’t VAT on everything also inflate prices?
Spaniards are NOT richer than the US, believe me. And still, even with sales taxes, you’ll be getting a much better deal.
Yes, Spain has gotten screwed. I’ve followed the news. Good luck over there.
It simply means we buy less. VAT is a great sales killer making the rich richer and the poor poorer.
As it is all around the world. The rich suck the life out of the poor.
