And there we are:
The Processed World PDF from the Internet Archive that defeats all tablets. Will it defeat the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 as well? Of course! Didn’t you read the title of this post?
And it’s open:
And the UI confirms this is SmartQ Reader and I’m not playing any kind of trick here:
And we wait — we wait a very fucking lonnnnng time that I couldn’t even measure:
And then:
If you go by screensnaps, you’d think this did better than the iPad Mini 4.
No.
In between all those screenshots is me hopping into Carousel View to:
1) Kill that goddammed Samsung Retail Experience app that wants to reset the entire tablet
2) Calling up sites in Chrome because I’m waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting for SmartQ to render a damned page
When a page is rendered, it actually appears in Carousel View. So there’s real background processing happening here.
Sometimes, I’d be able to swipe through as many as three pages at a time. Then the wait wait wait wait would begin again.
All in all, a total fail, just like the iPad Mini 4.
But it wasn’t expected to pass this test. This was just a test.
