They did the impossible with this one.
They made a half hour seem like an hour.
And I don’t mean that in a complimentary way, either.
You know, as low-budget as Supercar and Fireball XL5 could be, they made an effort to create new faces, even if they were temporary ones made of clay that were destroyed after the episode. They had real pride in their work — and taste, too.
This series, with all the money that’s been thrown at it, apparently has two faces for extras and they’re used over and over for male and female.
And they’re all fugly and unsympathetic-looking.
They really have no idea what made the original series such a success, do they? They think it was just all the machinery and explosions.
And that’s why this series is such shit.
Jeff Tracy dead? He’s probably rolling in the grave over this series. I understand now what they meant by Jeff being seen at some point in the series. We’ll get a dreadful flashback episode showing the Tracy lads not being able to save their dad, with Scott as the key man who loses him.
Holy shit. Who the hell wants to see an episode like that?
