[Note: Typo in post title had the tablet as the X89. It’s obviously the X98!]
This is really something to see!
The requisite screensnaps and video after the break.
I haven’t paid attention to Windows 10 at all. Just seen some words about it in passing. So this video was the first time I’ve seen it in action.
Wow, they changed a lot!
I wonder how long it’ll take for Teclast to offer a dual-OS tablet with Android 5.x and Windows 10?
Now, the video, which I ripped from Youku and posted to YouTube:
Tencent is partnering with Microsoft to bring easy Windows 10 upgrades in China for free if you have a computer with xp or later.

Desktop and notebooks, not tablets I’m sure.
My x98Air 2 will be upgraded as soon as I can : )
Windows 10 (or at least, the Technical Preview) is the only version I’ve been using on my X98 Air II since I got it last December. It’s got a few flaws, still (mostly relating to when the on-screen keyboard actually comes up), but it’s surprisingly stable and usable, and a hell of a lot more usable than Windows 8 or 8.1. The biggest problem is DPI scaling – Windows really doesn’t know what to make of a 2048×1536 screen under ten inches across.
OK Teclast you’re nearly there. Please bring out a non-white one (copy Onda’s new HTC-inspired design if you like, or just make the front of the x98 black) and give it 4GB ram + Atom z3775 or x5.
Will windows 10 reduce the battery life of the tablet significantly? How about the performance in terms of speed? Thanks.
My tests so far indicate no increaase or decrease in performance but…
As apps move to the UWP (Windows Store) model they will get more efficient. If you need the longest battery life, use Windows Store apps. E.g. Edge browser, Windows Video player, etc.
Chippy is The Expert on these matters.
I have used Windows 10 on Teclast Tablets and it seems to be ok here with the performance, speed etc..
Where can I find a procedure to upgrade my x98 air 3g to windows 10 ?
Can I simply click the upgrade-icon on win 8 toolbar and follow ms proposed upgrade ?
