This is stunning. 9.7-inch Retina-class IGZO screen, 2GBs of RAM, 32GBs of internal storage, dual-OS Windows 8.1/Android 4.x, 1.8GHz Intel Z3735, 2MP front and 5MP back cameras, and an 8,000 mAh battery.
For 899 yuan — that’s US$145!
So will 899 yuan be the permanent price or is this a temporary sales promotion?
Frankly, a price like that makes me rethink all my personal tablet calculations.

Why I don’t find it so appealing, but just late showing up?
Truth is tablet prices seem to be going up lately, but taking advantage of the Nov 11 sale, I was able to buy my Teclast x98 Air II tablet at that price back then.
Sure now it is a great sale for someone looking to buy a 9.7 tablet, but why so late?
Am I missing something?
As they say, better late than never. And not everyone can take advantage of 11/11 or other sales being held in China. Teclast is doing a bunch of sales now, but those low prices aren’t passed along to people outside of China — the middlemen just get a bigger profit.
True, not all China tech sales are available to people outside, but 11/11 sales mostly are…
…not only in Aliexpress which does a huge sale, giving away discount and coupons – I got 20$ of discount based on the initial amount spent, apart from another 10$ by the store and another 10$ coupon I got for playing the flash games and gathering “coins” – but in all Chinese, western orientated, online stores that I know of.
The standard questions remain: Availability? Reimbursement in the case of a defect? How strongly is the display mirroring? Battery life when surfing over WLAN at which brightness? WLAN reliability at which maximal distance and through how many walls?

Hmm even at this price I don’t think I could ignore the reported matte layer under the glass which makes the screen blurry. Real shame.
Perhaps they changed that? Let’s see what reviews/users say.
