As part of its introduction of a new US$199.00 Nook Tablet with half the storage capacity (8GB) of the original (16GB), Barnes & Noble also slashed the price of the NookColor by US$30.00:
I’d like to note here that the Nook Tablet does not have any Bluetooth whatsoever in it. So if you’re thinking of buying one for rooting, understand that it cannot be paired to a Bluetooth keyboard like the NookColor. Otherwise, it’s superior to the NookColor with a faster and dual-core CPU and longer battery life.
If you’ve been thinking about buying one of the current low-end Android tablets (Coby, Cruz, Pandigital, et al), a rooted NookColor would provide a superior experience in many ways — if you have the time and patience to devote to rooting.
