Continuing what has turned out to be Napoleon Hill Day here, I tried it for Think and Grow Rich (print edition):

Click = big

That will be hard to see even enlarged. Hill’s book is in the red circle and it links to all those other books — according to what others have bought.

Rare Napoleon Hill Writings: November 1921

Napoleon Hill is the author of the always-in-print classic, Think and Grow Rich.

I’ve found writings of his in the public domain at Google Books. I’m not an expert in his work, but I have to think this material is rare and possibly hasn’t been seen since it was first published.

This is the seventh and final post of this series with his rare writing.

This one is an appearance that might mark a turning point of sorts. It’s a trade magazine for the leather industry. Hill doesn’t appear in the Table of Contents and his work is basically a short filler — but this time the byline is for his magazine. That makes me wonder if some of his material was being syndicated.

Rare Napoleon Hill Writings: June-July 1918

Napoleon Hill is the author of the always-in-print classic, Think and Grow Rich.

I’ve found writings of his in the public domain at Google Books. I’m not an expert in his work, but I have to think this material is rare and possibly hasn’t been seen since it was first published.

This is the third post of this series with his rare writing.

A note first of all. The cover of the June 1918 issue of Modern Methods was not in the PDF. I don’t know if Google ScanOps missed it or if there was no cover. The July cover will stand in for it, since this Hill piece ran in both June and July issues. Also note the July cover is monochromatic, not color. Again, I don’t know why.

Napoleon Hill writes about something he knows very well: Selling your personal services!

Selling Mark Twain In 1917

Google Books is like the biggest Christmas present evar!

There are lots of little gems to be found in it.

One of them is from the November 1917 issue of a monthly called Modern Methods.

This periodical was aimed at businessmen (they were mainly men then), filled with practical advice about things like selling, organization, import/export, and other practical matters.

So it’s the last place I would have expected to see a full-page ad for something so un-businesslike as a collection of stories!
