Sorry to be skeptical, but look closely and you’ll see cuts in the video that seem to mask UI reaction delays. That is not good.

Played with one briefly at BEA–very laggy, even when demoed by the booth staff. Had to repeatedly swipe to accomplish anything. The texture on the back is nice, tho.
I was hoping that was pre-release software. Eh. This is the way of the world these days generally: Ship it, update it later. The Palm Pre came out two years ago this week and got an over-the-air update once people unboxed it and turned it on! Let’s hope Kobo can optimize and do a similar update, if that’s possible.
