CUBE Attacks Xiaomi

The background to this attack: Apparently yesterday on Weibo, Xiaomi published a map that showed some incorrect Chinese territorial borders (the map might have or might not have also shown Tibet — which is highly forbidden). The map was quickly deleted. But it was noticed and raised hell with some people. CUBE here is taking cheap advantage of that error — in order to pimp their lower-priced game controller that competes with one Xiaomi recently introduced.

Yeah, that’s how the Chinese roll on Weibo.

Onda Counterattacks Teclast

Previously: Teclast Goes To War Against Onda, Makes Them Toast

And the Weibo war is on! Onda lobs more than one missile back at Teclast.

That goes to a QQ page where Onda says Teclast’s accusations are “fabricated” and that users aren’t stupid, have praised the V919 3G Air they’ve purchased, and that the tablet is outselling other brands [Google Translate]. Let me say that’s a somewhat weak defense. Even in America we know of sockpuppets leaving paid-for “reviews” on sites. And sales say nothing about returns.
